Astra clients

I cut my teeth at the heart of the British indie publishing industry, working for the UK’s leading independent book distributor, Turnaround, from 2012-2017. I managed the Marketing & Publicity team there for over three years and assisted in the company’s transition to a new distribution system and warehouse.

While working toward my MA in Publishing at Kingston University, I learned the ropes as an intern with Zed Books and The British Museum Press.

I studied technical writing and creative writing during my undergrad. Here I undertook projects that qualified me in technical and professional writing, as well as the full editorial process, proofreading, design and production.

What my clients say:

“Sarah managed the clearing of a large number of permissions for an anthology published by Ebury Press. It was a large and difficult job on a tight deadline, involving a huge amount of detective work, complex negotiation, rigorous organisation, tenacity and dedication. Sarah was a delight to work with, keeping me well informed of any developments at all stages of the project. I would highly recommend Sarah for editorial freelancing work and hope to work with her again in the future.”
